Hi Rita! I'd actually been away from my blog for a long time! How's everything going? :)
Hmm... I've never been to mexico before, so I don't really know what it's like there, except that it's hot. :) This helps a lot though, if I decide to go there one day! Thanks for sharing! :)

Comment on Cruises, What You Don’t Know… by Gargi Nath

I have written a few tips on Gearing up for an Adventure Vacation Cruise.
Adventure vacation cruises is one of the most fun and exciting means of getting a new perspective of the other side of the world. This is because it allows people to see splendid sights, sounds, and heritage of other people in various parts of the world. Apart from giving you a new experience, taking adventure vacation cruises will also open up an opportunity for you to see and appreciate different cultures as well as enjoy nature-endowed sceneries in marine and land.

If you want to explore some of the world’s hidden treasures, now is the time to plan the details of your adventure vacation cruise. This is because adventure vacation cruises can be quite complicated especially for first time cruisers.

To save you from the hassle, here are some of the things that you need to consider in gearing up for an ultimate adventure vacation cruise:

1. Date and length of your adventure vacation cruise. The date of leaving for a cruise should be determined as early as possible because you need to book early. In terms of length, the usual vacation cruises range from six days to one month—depending on how much the cruiser would want to do and see and the time and money he/she would want to spend. But, for an adventure vacation, 6 to 7 days would do. Given this time, you can get all things and activities covered.

2. Who will be going and the total number of the participants of the adventure vacation cruise. Whether you will go on an adventure vacation cruise with your date, family members, or friends, it is always best to discuss thoroughly the final participants of the trip and the destination. Always remember that in planning any adventure vacation cruise, the major consideration should be who is/are going on the cruise and their preference because this will ensure the success of the trip.

3. Which cruise line to use. Determining the cruise lines that sail to your chosen destination will help you finalize your plan. This is because it will give you a estimate of how much you need spend, the amenities to expect, and the activities that you can do during the cruise. You can choose from Princess Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Cruise West, Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Crystal Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Royal Caribbean International because these offer the most vacation destinations.

If you are interested in cruising aboard in any of these cruise lines, make sure that you conduct a research so you can compare each of them and come up with a cruise line fit for your needs and budget.

4. The size of ship to be used. Basically, two sizes of ships are used for adventure vacation cruises, which include the small ship, and the one is the big ship. For first time cruisers, big ships are ideal because it can provide almost everything they need. But, today, more and more people prefer cruising using a small ship because it provides an up close look at the destination as well as giving a more intimate environment.

A small ship, on the other hand, is chosen by some because it is more intimate and allows better itinerary. It is up to you to decide which one will give you the best comfort and amenities possible.

I too was weirded out by the email when I first ordered from "The Purple People"- then realizing it was some sort of template confirmation, but weirder than that -

I actually received a phone call from the "Sister" that works for the Reverend when an item I ordered was out of stock on a very recent order I had placed !!

I was just glad I used my office phone number and not my home or cell!!! I do suppose the strange greeting of "blessed be you today Miss Dee", and the "Sister"repeatedly talking about herself in the third person was unsual; but not unusual enough to not return the call-

But to be honest, that was better customer service than any other place I order from online- usually you just get yr. order and they note that it was backordered on the invoice,

Just thought that it was funny the email weirded out other patrons of this shop as well!!

I had not heard about this, as I've barely read or listened to a thing all year. But I agree that this was a cruel way to let someone die. We don't know what someone is feeling, or even thinking when they're in a coma but it's hard to believe they feel nothing.

As you say, the father probably invented the conversation with his daughter in his head to make himself feel better. 17 years is a long time to get round to granting her wishes.

I found this really interesting, because I've been thinking about going on a cruise with RCCL. I would probably cruise in Europe as the airfare is cheaper (I'm from the UK. And as you say, they RCCL seems to have a limited choice of ports in the Caribbean.

I'm not really into shopping and if I can ever afford to buy jewellery again, I'll be getting it from Rita who used to blog on here, as she knows her stuff.

Being quite paranoid anyway, I've already searched the lists of people going overboard, as that does worry me. And on some blogs, folk have mentioned missing persons, but they've usually been accused of exaggerating or lying. I'll definitely be be doing a bit more digging.

I do remember a story a few years ago about a woman going missing on a cruise ship - I don't know which one. But I seem to remember that she went missing when the ship was docked in Aruba. I think it happened before the Natalie Holloway case.

Anyway, some forces guy was visiting a brothel in Columbia and the woman who went missing was in there. She told him her name and asked him for help. But he didn't tell anyone until a long time later, because he shouldn't have been there and was worried about getting into trouble, or something.

I'd forgotten about that story until now and it does worry me. I'll definitely be doing a bit more research - maybe a road trip in Europe would be better and safer.

The only cruise I've done was a four night Disney one. And they do seem to screw you for extras - especially drinks.

I haven't seen a lot of the Caribbean, as it's so far away from here but I've been to Aruba - nice beaches but very Americanized and not a whole lot to see. Also, I've been to the Mexican Caribbean. That was really nice - felt very safe there and the people seemed genuinely friendly.

But I hear so many bad things about other Caribbean islands - especially Jamaica and I don't know if they're exaggerated or they really are bad.

I have to say, I agree with you - let them sink. We're having the same problem over here in the UK and it won't get any better because they won't lend anyone any money. And the little they are lending comes at a price. Bank base rate is around 2% but they want 10 to 12% for small business loans.

Yes. The Madoff's "Made-Off" with OPM. Sickening as the whole story is - and knowing two victims of his scheming and conniving - I was glad to see no evidence of shock in your blog.

It's now called the "Ponzi," but grift is grift - and it's always been a criminal act. As long as money (of any kind) has been around, there have always been grifters. The temptation is too strong for some, I would imagine.

Though I found much interest in your timely and well-written blog, I question your pictures - and the analogies they imply. At least Bonnie and Clyde had the "class" to shoot people in the open - and in the face. The Madoff's - yes, both of them - used the cowardly approach of the back-stab on their "friends" and other victims, proving that the knife IS, in fact more dangerous than the gun as a level of "intimacy" is involved as it is plunged into the back. It is that intimacy that made the Madoff's wealthy.

Well-done, Writer. Thanks for exposing a story that required the attention to detail that you gave it, rather than blogging about Social Media, Twitter, Monetizing or the other drivel that makes the rounds daily in blogopolis.

You are right when you say that he has a right to experiment with drugs but what you have to think is whether he has the right to endorse taking drugs or making taking drugs look cool. That is unacceptable.

His right to privacy and all that is ok but because of the fame and adoration he receives from the public, he has some responsibilities too. If he smoked xxx on an xxx date and nobody knew about it then it's fine, its his personnel business but now that it's come out, its different. Its getting all the attention it deserves and that is because

no matter what you say, people (especially kids) tend to do what their favorite stars do. I mean just imagine all the young swimmers out there who want to be just like Phelps someday think, they'll say to themselves that if the best swimmer in the world can smoke marijuana and still be that good (the best ever) then marijuana can't be bad in fact it must be great and then they are trying drugs and after that, for some of them, this experiment will surely lead them places.

When the news broke out I too was surprised about an athlete like him doing pot and thought they'll just give him a rap on his knuckles but thankfully he's received the flak that he has. (its very very vital the message is loud and unambiguous that drug taking is not cool and that you are then doing something which can cause you to be shunned from all quarters.)

When the news broke out I too was surprised about an athlete like him doing pot and thought they’ll just give him a rap on his knuckles but thankfully he’s received the flak that he has. (its very very vital the message is loud and unambiguous that drug taking is not cool and that you are then doing something which can cause you to be shunned from all quarters.)

R Rogers said it, I dont need to go any further.. Obama is following the footsteps of Jimmy Carter to go down in history as one of the worst presidents ever.... Why are we going to burden our grandchildren with crippling debt?
He has gone against most of his campaign promises already. Typical Chicago politics... His associations with criminals and shady charactors goes on and on.
As my grandmother used to say.. "prostitutes dont hang out with virgins.

I`m interested there`s a lot of articles on casino gambling. There are different methods, tactics, strategies, algorithms of counting, calculations and so on.
But these objects are only heap of ads and i don`t want to analyze them `cause i don`t have any basic knowledge. It`s ineffective. Estimation i think will be wrong.
Is there anyone here who is interested in such topic?
I`d appreciate someone`s explaining to me is there any systems or strategies, what are they (what approaches or concepts lay in basis) and in which casinos could they be applied to?
Thanx a lot.

Failure is failure. You can spin your buddy Rush's statement anyway you want - he's still nothing more than a voice and an opinion driven by a desire to fill his bag with a little more wind.

Once again, you've shown your ignorance of the facts. Rush Limbaugh stated that he hoped Obama's economic policies fail, i.e., throwing good money after bad. Spending untold billions to try to buy our way out.

You have bought the media's snippet of "Rush hopes Obama fails." My friend, if you had listened to the entire monologue, you would have known that. He hopes Obama fails in his economic policies. Period. Yet everyone, and I mean everyone on the liberal side who has drunk the koolaid, has taken those words only. Rush hopes Obama fails.

Otherwise, your comments concerning Dr. Ibanez are correct. He enriched himself selling to those who bought. An ideal example of capitalism. One who has a product for sale that someone wants and buys, albeit the wrong way to do it. Nonetheless, capitalism. I have a product that you want or need and you buy it. I make money and you are hopefully satisfied with the product you purchased.

But I wouldn't worry about that for long. Soon the government will own or control a piece of everything with its bailout -- or should I say buyout -- mentality. They will be the soverign owner. Then you'll have to do business with them.

Socialism, anyone?
